Introducing our new Internal Sales Engineer – Jordan Clavin

We are very pleased to announce that Jordan Clavin will soon be joining our Sales Force, as Internal Sales Engineer, to support the company with its expanding Sales operations worldwide. At the same time Jordan will be replacing one of our most valued team members, who will be departing the company next month to move with her family to pastures new. Sandra Thornton will be sorely missed and we wish her the very best for her future.

Jordan initially joined the company in August 2013 as an apprentice working on the factory Shopfloor as a valve assembler, tester and also carrying out quality inspections. Due to his dedication and high standards of work, the company supported him through a HNC in Mechanical Engineering through Kirklees Engineering Centre. In early 2019, Jordan supported the R&D Department by carrying out qualification testing including in-house fire testing, FE testing, PR2 and type approval testing etc, where his efforts continued to benefit the company.

Jordan stated “I have really enjoyed working at Alco and getting the chance to work in assembly, testing and the R&D Department. In my first year in R&D, we recorded more qualification tests than any previous year which was a great achievement for the team. I now feel I am ready to implement that knowledge and experience within the sales department, to make sure our customers get the right solution for their valve applications. I want to bring a fresh perspective and improve our customers experience the best I can”. We are more than confident that Jordan will excel in his new role.
